Bills Hill and Willson Peak Loop

It was a great day to be out in Henry Coe SP. There's been enough rain recently that the grass is a bright green, and the temperatures are excellent for hiking. First up was Bills Hill. The trail was easy to follow once I found the trailhead.
On the ridge, looking at the Bills Hill summit.
High peaks at the corner of Merced, Santa Clara, and San Benito counties.
High peaks again.
Next I dropped back down into the valley, and climbed up Willson Peak. I took the Lyman Wilson Trail to the summit ridge.
Looking towards Loma Prieta.
The lighting got dramatic when a big cloud blew in.
The hike down was the best part. The sun was setting and I was heading west on an open ridge.
Still at the summit.

To the south west.

Palassou and Nesbit Ridge

Merced high peaks. Still some construction on the Jim Donnelly Trail.

California sunsets are awesome.

Last shot before I entered the forest.
Overall, it was a great day in a great park.
